I’m certainly a fan of Brooklyn Fare. Their site is a wonderful mix of crisp cutout photography, engaging copy and beautiful typography. The simple site navigation and friendly faces also make the site welcoming and intuitive.

Opera Magé sell Italian food on their lovely ecommerce site. The product photography across the site looks consistent and the colours used throughout work really well together. I especially like the footer navigation, dark wood background and cute basket icon. Meraviglioso!

Foodess is the blog of Jennifer Hill, who likes to share her delicious recipes and thoughts on all things food-related. Macro images of the food are used here to great effect and the side navigation is simply styled in order to give the main content prominence. Tasty!

Flo Braker has an exceedingly good website. In fact, it puts Mr Kipling’s to shame. Simple navigation, a beautiful colour scheme and pixel perfect typography make this a joy to use. Like Flo’s Pear-Almond Galette, simplicity is key - I can almost taste the CSS goodness!

Sweet! Sucre is selling incredible candy online at www.shopsucre.com. The site uses appetising browns, pinks and greens as a backdrop to wonderfully vivid product photography. Check out their equally beautiful store on the ‘About’ page. They should open a store in London. Soon.

The Organic Supermarket in Dublin has a wonderful new website to promote their store. The Flash intro is really well put together and the look/feel of the entire site is perfect. I particularly like the RSS feed icon on their ‘Blog’ page and the textures used for the map on the ‘Contact’ page… I’m hungry.

Cork’d is a resource for the online wine lover community, which has been around for a while now and pre-dates social network sites like Ning. It still looks great though and is a pleasure to use. I particularly like the colour scheme and the illustrations used throughout the site. I’m lovin’ the tiny bottle icons [...]
